“B-BAKIT dito mo ako dinala?”
“Bakit? Dati ka namang nagpupunta rito, hindi ba?”
“O-oo, pero –”
“Pasok ka.” Hinila papasok ni Dominic sa braso ang dalaga at ini-lock ang pinto.
“B-bakit mo ini-lock?”
“Bakit, natatakot ka ba?”
“H-hindi! Bakit naman ako matatakot sa iyo!”
“Ewan ko sa iyo.”
“Hindi nga!”
“Then, have a seat. Ipaghahanda lang kita ng maiinom para maging maganda ang pag-uusap natin, okay?”
Tahimik na lang siyang sumunod.
Pumasok sa kumedor si Dominic, nang lumabas ay may dala ng dalawang baso ng iced tea na nagyeyelo sa lamig.
“O, mag-iced tea ka muna.”
“Ano ba talagang kailangan mo sa akin?” hindi niya pinansin ang iniaabot nitong baso.
“Jackie –”
“Anong kailangan mo sa akin?”
Natigilan si Dominic, pagkuwa’y inilapag nito ang baso sa center table.
“Okay, hindi na ako magpapaliguy-ligoy pa. Marry me.”
“Ano?” nanlaki ang mga mata niya sa sinabi nito.
“Marry me, tutuparin ko ang pangarap mo na makasal sa isang guwapong mayaman na hindi agad mamamatay. And I’ll promise to you, hahanguin ko sa hirap ang pamilya mo. Hindi mo na kailangang mamalakaya sa dagat para may makain kayo. Hindi na iitim ang balat mo, hindi ka na mag-aamoy isda. Just marry me and I’ll give you the world.”

maganda ang story lalo na yun character ni jackie nakakatawa kaso nakakabitin.. tinapos agad ang story parang ang bilis kwento pagdating sa dulo.. pero ok sya.. maganda..!!

uhmmmm about the story??? i’ve read the same twist of this before a,k,a cinderella story, but like other said its the style of the author how to catch the heart & bored mind of the reader. definitely i like it! the style of writings, the used of words-so simple “pabalbal” sometimes, it brings me in reality about life and lives of people. its entertaining, its made me laugh always while reading every part and sentence of the piece. Let us i really enjoy reading it.. make and write many of this,’ papatok toh’…. hey,,,i didnt notice the time while my eyes keepstracking the story and my finger wasrolling the down arrow of my keyboard. thanks… i wonder why if you can make a piece which can be categorize in martha cecilia works… if u dont mind…
